OSIA has several different oat varieties adapted to do well in Ohio. As recently mentioned in OSU's CORN Newsletter, oats can be planted and cut as a forage option. Planting feed oats can lead to an introduction of weeds and poor stand if germination is low. Instead, plant seed oats to ensure a good forage crop.
